DUGOUT MINE - Proposed, Permit PRO/007/039
The Dugout Canyon Mine is an underground coal mine located about 11 miles northeast of Wellington, Utah. This mine, permitted by Canyon Fuel Company, LLC received a mining and reclamation permit from the Division of Oil, Gas, and Mining on March 16, 1998. Currently, the mine is room and pillar but will be changed to longwall mining. The anticipated annual production is currently one million tons per year.
