EMERY DEEP MINE - Temporary Cessation, Permit ACT/015/015
Consolidation Coal Company owns the Emery Deep Mine which is in the Emery Coal Field in Emery County, Utah. The mine is located at the confluence of Quitchupah Creek and Christiansen Wash, approximately 4 miles south of the town of Emery. Located near the workings of the old Browning Mine which was started in 1937, the entire permit area encompasses approximately 5,180 acres.
This mine has been in temporary cessation since 1990, however coal is occasionally sold from the coal stockpile.
